Royal Armed Forces

Collective name for all the military forces of the Star Kingdom of Pegasus. Although the Kingdom is economically integrated they have always had problems with separatist groups on several SKOP worlds. The existence guerrilla movements has meant that the Royal Armed Forces are kept well equipped and are continually trained. They are said to be the best armed forces in any of the power blocs. Royal House of Cavendish (146 AI onwards = 2360 AD onwards)

Ruling royal family of the Star Kingdom of Pegasus. When the Wayfarer arrived at Pegasus (Iota Pegasi), the colonists chose to set up a hereditary monarchy and an elected House of Representatives to govern their planet. The combined government (the monarch and parliament) is known as the Star Kingdom of Pegasus. After a wormhole was discovered in the Pegasus System the Kingdom developed wormhole technology and expanded across space, offering technology and full representation at parliament to any planets swearing fealty to the crown.

Russian Hegemony (1991 to 2216 AD = -225 to 0 AI)

Former group of countries on Earth that sent out starships during colonisation (the group had previously been called first the Russian Soviet Federal Socialist Republic and then Russian Federation, it changed its name twice following political changes in the region). In -89 AI (2127 AD) the Russian Hegemony launched the second starship, which followed the starship of the United States of America to Alpha Centauri (α Cen). Exact details of the end of the Russian Federation are unknown, however the government is believed to have ceased operating immediately following The Impact.
