SOL - The Solar System (Earth System)

System Summary

The Solar System has one star. The star is a spectral type G-dwarf (yellow main sequence star). The system contains nine planets and sixty one moons. Four planets are terrestrial and four are giants. One planet, called Earth, is in Sol's habitable zone, however its surface was contaminated during The Impact and it has remained uninhabitable for over 300 years.

Earth is the birthplace of mankind. Although the system is unclaimed it lies inbetween the territory of the Centaur Federation, the Eridani Republic and the 9 Star Combine and is periodically patrolled by all three power blocs.
