What is Role Playing?

Games using Role Playing.

Role playing games involve pretending you are someone else and facing challanges you don't normally face. All have a "background" (also known as a "universe") where the games are set. The person you pretend to be, your "character", can often do things that you can not. Every game has a set of rules to deal with conflicts in the game.

Virtual Eclipse is a role playing club. We organise two types of role playing game (RPG):

• Live (action) role playing (LARP or LRP) &
• Tabletop role playing
