VE Freeform Tabletop Role Playing Rules
In a freeform game players do not need to learn any rules. The games master (GM) assesses the actions of your character to
decide if they are posssible. So there are not really any rules. If you want to organise a freeform game borrowing some of
the rules from our LARP system will help players who have played one game cross over to the other game more easily:
- The LARP medical system is time based so if you play in real time (or can keep track of game time) why not use that?
- Get hold of some LARP casualty cards and give them out to anyone injured.
- Read the LARP medical system rules and make a summary of the time modifications for treatment.
- Use a similar forcefield system to the LARP one. Either get players to record forcefield hits or do it yourself.
- Either get Forcefield Technicians to use a mini-wizard/go repeat or make up a forcefield recalibration time.
- If any of the LARP rules seem to be crashing your game then just do what you think is sensible - remember its role
playing not rule playing!
If anyone has any further suggestions please
contact the webmaster so I can add them.
