About Amy
I have been interested in the environment,
conservation and gardening since I was a child. I remember planting maple
seedlings in milk cartons while in kindergarden. I enjoyed growing 4
O'clocks from seed while I was in grade school. In high school I got a job with the Minnesota
Conservation corps for the summer helping out in the State Parks.
I went to Northland College, a private environmental liberal arts college
in Ashland, Wi. I've worked at the Andersen Horticultural Library at the MN Landscape Arboretum
and I am a Master Gardener for Scott County in MN. As my family would say, I'm a 'tree huggin hippie'...but not an extreme one.
I'm continuing my education at the University of MN, in the College of Landscape Architecture. I plan on getting a B.E.D. which is a Bachelor of Environmental Design.
This will be put on hold for a while because Paige has arrived. Paige came into this world on August 23rd, 2004 at 4:43 in the morning. She weighed 8 lbs and 13 oz and she was 22" long.
She's grown so much in the 10 weeks she's been with us. She's smiling more and making her baby talk that I adore. I'm enjoying every minute.
